Healing Connections Family Services, LLC offers the following services:

TBRI® Training

Trust Based Relational Intervention® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI® uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors.

I offer individual or group TBRI® training and can customize the training for adoptive parents, foster parents, relative caregivers, churches, school/daycare workers, group home staff, residential staff, and more.

In-Home Trauma Parenting

Using the TBRI® model, I offer in-home trauma parenting services for families living in most of central and southwest Florida. Depending on the need, I would travel outside of this area or offer the training and support virtually.

Home Studies

Home studies are required for every adoption, whether international or domestic, private or foster care, infant or older child. This study is a basic overview of your life - including criminal background checks, your finances and even your personal relationships. It is used by the courts to assess if a stable environment exists for a family to receive a placement.
 

I am a Florida Certified Child Welfare Professional licensed to complete home studies.

Adoptive, Foster & Relative Caregiver Support

For those who need assistance navigating the complex child welfare system, I offer consultations based on my 30 years of experience in this field. I can help navigate the child welfare system, serve as a liaison between families and the child welfare system, assist with adoption subsidy applications and more.

Child Welfare Case Consultations

I offer assistance with new agency implementation and startup, agency reviews, and consultations in the field. I can also contract for case consultations and other services for the Department of Children and Families, community based care agencies, private foster and adoptive agencies, and more. 

​

Foster & Adoptive Parent Training

I offer pre-service trainings for adoptive and foster parents,  addition to any other training needs. I am available to complete private or group trainings, providing flexibility based on the needs of families. Trainings are offered in person or virtually.

Adoptive Competency Training

I offer adoptive competency training for mental health professionals. This training is also beneficial to others working in the child welfare system such as case managers, and Guardians Ad Litem.
